What's inside

Everything you need to play, nothing you don't.

A focused launcher built with Electron and React. Sign in, find a pack, launch it - with live logs, isolated instances, and the conveniences that usually take three different tools.

GregTech Hub

Update GT New Horizons stable or beta packs, install verified community add-ons and create isolated special-build instances from one optional workspace.

Modrinth & CurseForge browser

Search approved Modrinth and CurseForge catalogues from one window. CurseForge access runs through the hosted Thendrask relay, so no personal API key is needed.

Custom modpack builder

Create Fabric, Forge, NeoForge or Quilt instances, then find compatible mods and install required dependencies automatically.

Safe updates & rollback

Required files are verified and the working pack is snapshotted before an update. If anything fails, Thendrask rolls it back automatically.

Backups, repair & diagnostics

Create snapshots, verify broken files, export portable backups and generate a sanitized diagnostic bundle from the same instance screen.

Organised libraries

Find large collections quickly with favourites, groups, tags and instant instance search, plus per-instance RAM and JVM controls.

Friends & presence

Add friends by code and see who's online and what they're playing, powered by the same hardened hosted relay used for CurseForge access.

Guided first-run setup

A clear setup flow handles sign-in and optional community features, while settings keep recommended RAM and fresh-instance video defaults under your control.

Optional specialist tools

GregTech, without
the busywork.

GregTech can be demanding without making its launcher workflow demanding too. The optional Hub gives GT New Horizons its own pack-aware workspace for official updates, compatible add-ons and experimental builds.

Pack updates

Move forward without overwriting

Stable and opt-in beta updates create a fresh GTNH instance, migrate your personal data and keep the old pack ready for rollback.

Community workshop

Add-ons matched to your pack

Browse curated community releases pinned to verified GTNH versions, with required dependencies and a recovery snapshot before installation.

Special builds

Experiment in isolation

Preview beta, challenge and April Fools builds in separate instances so experiments never touch your main worlds or settings.

Just an interface

Thendrask Launcher downloads modpacks and spawns the official Minecraft game. It doesn't modify Minecraft itself, and it isn't affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft. You still need a genuine account to play.

Open source & inspectable

MIT-licensed and on GitHub. The hosted relay keeps the approved CurseForge key out of the desktop app, does not cache CurseForge responses, and stores friend presence only in memory for 90 seconds.

Built in public

Maintained by Sxarlos.

I build Thendrask to make modded Minecraft less fragile: fewer launchers, safer updates, and practical recovery tools when a pack breaks. Development, releases, and issue tracking are public on GitHub.

Current beta notes

v0.5.8-beta.6 · 17 August 2026
Modrinth and approved CurseForge are the only public provider modules. Restricted CurseForge files now move into a verified manual-download checklist instead of cancelling the whole install.

Roadmap and feedback

Follow planned work and open development on GitHub. If something breaks, report it with your launcher version, operating system, and a sanitized diagnostic bundle.

Get started

Playing in three steps.

Java is handled automatically. Thendrask downloads a compatible runtime for each Minecraft release when necessary, while still allowing custom Java paths in Settings.

STEP 01

Download & install

Grab the latest Windows installer from GitHub Releases and run it. Choose your install location - it's a standard installer.

STEP 02

Sign in & pick a pack

Log in with your Microsoft account, then browse the modpack sources and install whatever you fancy, or create a clean instance.

STEP 03

Hit launch

First launch downloads the version and assets automatically. Watch the progress on the card, then you're in the game.
